NAWB TODAY |
|
The primary activity of the ‘National Association of Wine and Beermakers’, or NAWB, is to stage
the world’s premier Annual show for the hobby. The ‘National’ is normally held at the end of March or early April. It is a two-day
show with the AGM and Conference held on the same weekend. Although in the past the ‘National’ has been staged at various venues around the country, with the increasing difficulty of finding suitable venues which allow consumption of our own homemade wine and beer, it now alternates between two permanent venues - Scarborough and Weston-Super-Mare. It is hoped that these venues are sited conveniently enough to enable members from all over the country to travel to them and support their fellow winemakers in the North or South. Both these venues offer excellent facilities for the shows, and the towns themselves offer a variety of accommodation to suit everybody. The majority of classes in the show are solely for members of NAWB, but there is also a selection of classes that are open to both members and non-members. Non-members are most welcome to enter the open classes in the show and attend the weekend’s events, except the AGM. However, by becoming a member and entering the ‘National’, this is your chance to enter the members’ classes and to try out your wines against some of the leading Wine and Beer makers in the country. Further details about membership of NAWB can be found on the Membership page. Click here for Membership Application / Renewal Form and/or Standing Order Form. If you are interested in entering the National Show, whether you wish to become a member of not, then please contact the and a show schedule will be sent to you as soon as they are available, or view the Show Schedule page. |
