The number of people attending the show at Coventry was unfortunately down from previous years. Although NAWB has gained a few new members since the last show, and most of them did attend and enter the show and also stewarded on Saturday morning. Hopefully they all enjoyed themselves.
We made a significant change to the show schedule after the 2022 show, reducing the number of classes by 30 to 65 (including News & Views award). This also involved the reassignment of some trophies to different classes.
Entries were down but only by 100 or so. With 792 entries resulting in 864 bottles, 6 of which were photos. No federations or circles entered individually as the federation and circle classes have been removed. 47 people entered (same as in 2022), 28 of whom gained a first place; only one person did not gain a place; the bottles for 2 entrants were not entered on the day.
I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves. Congratulations to all the winners, and commiserations to the very few who did not get a place.
